Keynote speaker Ari Herstand to open Confluence 2023

Ari Herstand is the founder and CEO of the music business education and artist advocacy company, Ari’s Take. Labeled the “poster child of DIY music” by Forbes Magazine, his best-selling books and podcasts have become the go-to resource for musicians, promoters, agents, and others looking to build a career in music. Ari’s keynote address, How to Make It in the New Music Business, will explore evolving technologies – such as meta concerts and collection platforms – and how best to harness them.

The Summit continues with DJ sets, live looping artist Chris Clayton and Kalamazoo-based Americana rocker Grace Theisen.

Vendors and organizations represented include Michigan Music Alliance, Local Spins, WYCE, Sounds of the Zoo, Cusack Music, Farmer Foot Drums, food trucks, beverages, and more. Everything is free to attend and gets started at 5p.
