The Innovation Showcase spotlights gaming and the organizations that are driving it forward. Each year, Confluence invites the top collegiate and high school teams to compete in esports tournaments. The winning team in each division receives prizes and a custom trophy designed by Kendall College of Art and Design.
Collegiate teams set to compete in this year’s Super Smash Bros. tournamant include Michigan State, Univ. of Michigan, Ferris State, Grand Valley, Central Univ., Lawrence Tech, Oakland Univ., and St. Xavier/Chicago. High school teams include East Kentwood, Mona Shores, Rockford, and West Catholic.
